BEN BLEGEN Ben Blegen is a current resident of Becker, MN, where he lives with his wife Ashley and newborn daughter Alexandra.  Ben is an accomplished multi-species angler who has filmed for Midwest Outdoors, interviewed for local paper publications, podcasts and radio.  Ben is a competitive tournament angler, fishing the North American Ice Fishing Circuit with team partner and twin brother Luke Blegen.  After joining the circuit in 2009, Ben has 7 top 15 qualifier finishes which include a 1stand 5th place finish.  Ben has also finished 3rd in 2011 and 12th in 2012 for NAIFC’s team of the year.  Ben’s ice fishing addiction was inspired at a young age by a couple of close family friends who were willing to take the time to introduce him to the sport and enjoyment of ice fishing.  It was these family friends who taught him the basics of ice fishing and the overall enjoyment of what ice fishing is.  Ben has turned this inspiration into the pleasure of being invited to help with NAIFC kids camps.  Ben, and his teammate Luke, have also had the honor to give the seminars at past NAIFC qualifying tournaments.

LUKE BLEGEN Luke Blegen currently lives in Elk River, MN where he is an owner of two businesses in the local community.  Both businesses are fortunate enough to allow Luke the opportunity to take winters off.  During these winters, Luke has taken the opportunity to become an accomplished ice fishing tournament angler, competing in the North American Ice Fishing Circuit with his twin brother and teammate Ben Blegen.  While Luke and Ben have shared many of their ice fishing accomplishments, Luke consistently strives to perfect his on ice techniques, strategy and knowledge of ice fishing.  Luke’s competitiveness and ice fishing skills has led him to a 1st and 5th place NAIFC tournament finish and a 3rd place in team of the year in 2011 and 12th in 2012.  Luke is always continuing to expand his knowledge of ice fishing and looks to continue his success this upcoming ice season and is truly grateful for the opportunities he has been given.
